Job Purpose:

To support and assist the Group Communications Manager with various external and internal communications projects. Including writing project management, copy writing, developing content plans and communication campaigns.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Communications Projects/ Campaigns
    • Assists and supports the Group Communication Manager in the management of the projects/ campaigns
    • Assists with the planning and liaising with the design, public relations and other agencies and relevant parties.
    • Assists and manage the soliciting of content, copywriting, proofreading and preparation of content.
    • Media monitoring€“ reads through publications featuring the Group and brands daily and disseminates accordingly, manages calls from external publications and builds relationships.
    • Writing, editing and proof reading content when required. Writing in a variety of styles dependent on brief, in a way that is engaging, grammatically correct and appropriate, including ghost-writing for senior staff
    • Supports and manages information flows (editorial input, articles etc. - as required by the business), in terms of content, frequency and appropriateness both for external and internal audiences.
    • Coordinates and assists with day-to-day and project-related communications.
    • Provides input into the company's external and internal communication plans, supporting the messaging and ensures alignment of messaging and themes.
    • Implements and maintains corporate identities, group stationary and communication collateral design consistency


  • Relevant tertiary qualification, such as English, Journalism, Marketing and communications
